About Sappho's Party Inc.

Sappho's Party Inc. was established in Adelaide South Australia to empower lesbians born female and raised as girls to meet.

The reason the Association was formed was because any meetings of lesbians born female, and raised as girls, in the past few years have been harassed and intimidated by actions and public threats of legal action. This harrassment has come from a only a few members of the transgender and GLBTI community in Australia, and by their own claims, this minority of the TG community is supported financially and otherwise by international TG organisations.

Despite being legally incorporated and holding an event for members only and potential members only Sappho's Party Inc. are being taken through legal proceeding and potentially many years of a court hearing as 'Disciminators' under the South Australian Equal Opportunity Act by a male-to-constructed female trangendered person.

Please support Sappho's Party Inc. through letters and statements about the need for lesbians born female - raised as girls meeting spaces and events. If you can please also donate to our defence fund. We have had some free legal support but even mailing costs and phone calls are expensive. This case is being brought by someone from 1200 kilometres away. We now need to pay some money to a barrister for the actual hearing.

		Open Letter To O'Keefe and any others, who are using law in an attempt to force lesbians to do your will, If you asked . . . if you needed us to . . . we would stand beside you and fight anything or anyone who denied you equal access to employment, housing, health care and social services. And we would do this simply because these are your basic civil rights - they are your entitlement. Even if you didn’t ask . . . we would not stand by and let another abuse, ridicule or violate you.......
